I love this photo my niece took of her sister and friend. I'm sure she won't mind that I copied it from her Instagram account.
Making the background for this page was so much fun. You never know how it will turn out and you can never create it exactly the same again.
The background was made on white water-colour cardstock using re-inkers, texture paste, water-brush and an old texture plate (brick wall) that is found in my old scrap stash. I knew I wanted drips of ink but the rest was experimentation.
Sometimes you have to break through the barrier of the unexpected and see what you can come up with. worst case is you don't like it and you can start again.
I also wanted to use the Stamp of the Month on this layout and played around with a few ideas, spent a while fussy cutting and colouring all the leaves. Some of the images on this stamp set look like chalk so I stamped the word 'gather' in white and heat embossed with white powder. i love how it came out.
