I first made one of these in school as a kid and it never even occurred to me it would make a great card until I saw a similar idea recently. I've seen a few SVG files with this template but I wanted to make a larger one than what my machine would cut, without having way too many pieces.
I'm pretty happy with the results and can't wait to give it to my mum.
I can also see how great these would be to teach to a group of kids and use photographs to decorate the panels. It would make a really great kaleidoscope effect.
There is a bit of a trick to making them, and teaching the recipient how to fold it to open the next panel but once you've made one you will want to keep going and make heaps more.

I created this gorgeous tag booklet for our Holiday Expressions Launch party. Not only was it a great way for me to display the new Fancy Tag set of metal dies but it is also made a great workshop for my customers.
This was so much fun to make.
Made mainly from envelopes to store birthday cards in, it makes a great gift or if you're like me and easily forget birthdays, then its perfect to help keep you on track and organised too.
Each envelope stores the birthday cards for that month and you can keep track of the birthdays by jotting the names down for each month.
The envelope on the last page would be great for storing postage stamps and a few get well or thank you cards in.
