I've been crafting for as long as I can remember. My father was a printer, bookbinder and finisher so we always had access to plenty of paper and learned the trade tricks.
When my kids were little I needed a hobby so naturally card-making became a great source of relaxation and escapism from the parenting life. As my children grew I knew saving the memories was important, and the next phase in my crafting was taken on with enthusiasm, Scrapbooking. Not only did it give my children a sense of belonging but even today we can sit for hours pouring over our memories while looking through the scrapbook album.
Through my journey I have been part of a few crafty companies and even helped a friend turn her crafty passion into a business, which I helped managed and lead classes.
Today my children are grown up and I enjoy scrapbooking my nephew and nieces. One day I may have grandchildren to scrapbook about, until then I enjoy sharing and teaching and love seeing how therapeutic the craft is for so many women.
About the website
If you've been following me for a while you'll remember when my site used to be called Rooteenz, which originally came from my story of our blended family.
Today though, it is called CrafTea Hearts. A play on words conveying my love of tea and crafting.
